2007; COMPROMISE AND STABILITY |
For the protection of the economic stability, there is a hesitant approach towards the period of Presidential election and General Election.
Program of Transition to Powerful Economy and presence of the political stability that allows it to be applied underlies the economic recovery achieved following the economic depression in 2001. Turkey has understood primacy and importance of political stability for the economical stability during the period of the last four years. For this reason, political stability has also become our indispensable priority.
Business world wish that both elections results in under compromise and responsible approach. The wishes regarding the protection of economic and political stability of Turkey does not mean that the aim of Turkey to be a modern and contemporary world country and its acquisitions can be overlooked.
Turkey should rely on its unshakeable values and common sense of its people deriving from its human and historical profoundity. It should also respond to its agenda with hope and excitement instead of hesitation and worries. Because the world economy is developing and changing very rapidly. In this context, Turkey which is started to be considered among the potential large economies of the future have too much to do. Because, despite the environment of stability, the stability of the prices have not been achieved yet and what is more important is that proper competition conditions could not be improved for our enterprises. Furthermore, our agenda in the period of EU negotiation is critical. As Turkey, we should continue to attach enough importance to this process by protecting our right and just reasons in performing our obligations.
In 2007, we expect to conclude the sensitive agenda of this year succesfully and we trust in Turkey in this respect. We hope that everyone living in this country join hands for a modern and powerful Turkey that we dream of.
Hope that new year brings happiness, peace and welfare to Turkey and the world.
